Frequently asked questions

Do I need a construction loan?

No. DelGrippo Homes finances the construction of your home. Buyers only need to obtain a standard mortgage such as a conventional loan.

How do I get started?

The first step is to schedule a consultation with our sales team. We'll discuss your budget, floor plan options, available homesites, and answer any questions about the building process.

Can I customize my home?

Yes. We offer a variety of floor plans and design selections, allowing you to personalize finishes, cabinetry, countertops, flooring, paint colors, lighting, and more.

How long does it take to build a new home?

Construction timelines vary depending on the home design, weather, and material availability. We'll provide an estimated timeline and keep you updated throughout the building process.

Can I choose my own homesite?

Yes. If lots are available, you can select the homesite that best fits your preferences.

Can I use my own lender?

Absolutely. You are welcome to work with the lender of your choice for your conventional mortgage.

Can I visit my home during construction?

Yes. We’re happy to arrange scheduled visits, as outlined in the contract, so you can see the progress of your new home. Because the home is an active construction site, all visits must be scheduled in advance and take place with a DelGrippo Homes team member. This helps ensure everyone stays safe while giving you the opportunity to watch your home come to life.

What is included in the base price?

Our sales team will review everything included in the base price of your home, along with available upgrades and customization options.

Can I make changes after construction has started?

Some changes may be possible depending on the stage of construction. We'll work with you whenever possible, although certain modifications may affect pricing or the completion schedule.

Do you provide a home warranty?

Yes. Every DelGrippo Homes home is backed by a builder warranty for added peace of mind. We'll review your warranty coverage before contract.

What happens before closing?

Before closing, you'll complete a final walk-through with our team to review your home, learn about its features, and ensure everything meets your expectations.

Do you build on customer-owned land?

Depending on the location and property, we may be able to build on land you already own. Contact us to discuss your project.

Are there upgrade options available?

Yes. We offer a wide selection of upgrades and finishes to help you create a home that reflects your personal style and needs.

What types of financing are accepted?

Most buyers use a conventional mortgage, but your lender can discuss financing options based on your financial situation.

Why choose DelGrippo Homes?

Since 1969, DelGrippo Homes has been committed to quality craftsmanship, exceptional customer service, and a hands-on building experience. As a third-generation family-owned company, we take pride in building homes with the same care and attention we'd give our own.

Can I use my own Real Estate agent to represent me in my purchase?

Yes. Our sales team represents us as the Seller's Agent. You are welcome to have your own real estate agent represent you as your Buyer's Agent. Buyer agency compensation may vary by community or development, so please check with our sales team for specific details. To be eligible for any offered buyer agency compensation, your agent must accompany you on your first visit or appointment.

Does anyone inspect the home as it is being constructed?

Yes. At every stage of construction, your home is inspected by a municipal building inspector to ensure all applicable building codes and regulations are being met. Construction cannot proceed to the next phase until the required inspection has been completed and approved.
